Florentino Perez: Cristiano Ronaldo will win his fifth Ballon d'Or
The Los Blancos chief says he has never seen a squad so united at the club
He thought they were far superior to Juventus in the UCL final
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez believes Cristiano Ronaldo will win his fifth Ballon d'Or at the end of the year. "Nobody deserves it more than him," he said from his box in Cardiff.
"I'm going to say that Cristiano will win his fifth Ballon d'Or for sure because nobody deserves it more than him. He had a spectacular end to the season."
The Madrid president admitted that in the end he had to suffer somewhat. "In the second part it was shown that we were by far superior," he added.
"ZIDANE IS THE BEST"
On Zinedine Zidane he said: "He was the best as a player and now he is as a coach. When he arrived in 2001 he raised our level of talent."
Florentino said that Zidane is in charge of who comes in and goes out in the summer. "He conducts the orchestra and there will be no problems," said the Madrid chief.
He added: "Sergio Ramos is the real leader of the team, he has a lot to do with the squad being so united. I have to thank the captains, Cristiano, Pepe and Marcelo too.
"We keep making history and we will make more. I've never seen a squad so unired since I became president."
