The incredible Cristiano Ronaldo statistic which is worrying Real Madrid

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has began to cause concerns for parts of Madridismo. His numbers have been poor by his standards and there are people questioning him as we reach the moment of the season when titles are decided. 

Ronaldo's gunpowder is running dry. The statistics confirm as much. It's been one month since he scored, 259 minutes. His last goal was against Real Betis on Mar. 12, four games ago. The game against Bayern Munich on Wednesday will represent one month without a goal. 

If anything defines Ronaldo it's the sheer amount of times he hits the back of the net, but his goal ratio has dropped from one every 89 minutes to one every 123 minutes this season. 

His dry spell, then, has shown him to be a luxury player on the pitch. In and out of matches, he disregards the defensive side of the games, which is a high price for a team like Madrid to pay at this stage of the season. They need the whole team to defend. 

Criticism has began to emerge for the Portuguese international. They say age is beginning to catch up with him and he's increasingly looking to switch into the No.9 position to not wear down his strength. Bernd Schuster has highlighted as much. 

Ronaldo’s numbers are still good, but not in comparison to his previous seasons with Madrid. He has managed 19 goals in 24 league games, but has scored just twice in eight Champions League appearances.
