The curious shirt Real Madrid are going to wear against Sporting
Los Blancos will sport a kit made out of recycled plastic fished out of the ocean in their match against Sporting Gijon
Real Madrid will play against Sporting Gijon on November 26 with a shirt made out of plastic recovered from the Indian Ocean, as part of the Parley for the Oceans campaign.
Defender Marcelo spoke about it.
"The ocean is a place I hold close to my heart after growing up in Rio de Janeiro, and I have fond memories of playing on the beach when I was a kid," he explained.
"It's amazing to be part of this project and to know that the club I love is making a difference in helping to keep the oceans clean."
Bayern Munich also wore their own kits made out of ocean plastic in the game against Hoffenheim.
