Sevilla defender Adil Rami has spoken about Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, comparing the two La Liga stars.
In quotes while with the France national team, Rami was quite clear when speaking about the duo, having suffered against Messi at the Sanchez Pizjuan before the recent international break.
“I think, honestly, that Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and [Antoine] Griezmann are the three best players in the world. But since I arrived in Spain the question’s been another one: Ronaldo or Messi?” Rami said.
“In Spain there are the two best players in the world, but for me Messi is Messi. He fixes things going past two, three players and if he comes across and aggressive group he’s capable of finding the necessary pass.
“He’s much more of a team player than Ronaldo and for that reason I put him ahead of everyone else.”
