Tebas: "Benzema or Lewandowski? I'm Madrid so I prefer Benzema"
LaLiga chief says fact he prefers Madrid makes Benzema his preference in battle of No.9s
The president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, acknowledged his Real Madrid supporting roots and his predilection for Karim Benzema at the Panini trading card launch on Tuesday.
"Benzema or [Robert] Lewandowski?" he was asked. "I'm Madrid so I prefer Benzema."
Tebas, who has been especially critical of Barça's economic situation, also spoke publicly about Mbappé, who he believed would arrive in Madrid this summer: "After a tremendous year we had room for Mbappé."
The LaLiga chief also gave his opinion on the comparison between LaLiga and the Premier League: "LaLiga is undervalued, we are quite happy with the [transfer window].
"It is very typical of the Spanish [to undervalue LaLiga]. It is difficult to compare with countries that have twice as many football [television] subscribers. You have to look at the results and not the wasters of money."
