Five stations were shit after an anonymous call was received

Five subway stations in Kiev have re-opened after they were evacuated and forced to shut earlier on Saturday, the day of the Champions League final, due to a bomb scare.

Dnipro, Hydropark, Livoberezhna, Arsenalna and Heroiv Dnipra were all shut in the Ukrainian city after anonymous phonecalls were received.

"Anonymous calls have been received of the placement of bombs at [five] stations," a statement released by local police read. "These are now closed to passengers and checks are being carried out."

However, it proved to be a false alarm, with the stations re-opening for supporters of Real Madrid and Liverpool, who will meet in the final at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex.

“The stations are checked and open for passengers. Explosive items were not found,” the subway operator said later on Facebook.
