Solari's credit runs out as Real Madrid look at alternatives
Florentino Perez is already looking for a new coach for next season
Santiago Solari's credit as Real Madrid is running so low that president Florentino Perez has already began the search for a new coach, despite the Argentine being under contract until 2020, according to Marca.
Real Madrid will not take a drastic decision on Solari, though, among other reasons because they have two huge games on the horizon. They could keep their slim title hopes alive with a win over Barcelona in La Liga on Saturday and they then face Ajax in the Champions League next week -- they're 2-1 up from the first leg of their round of 16 tie.
But Wednesday's KO in the Copa del Rey against Barça has complicated Solari's future. The team's performances over two legs against the Catalans was not enoug hto save him.
Despite results, Solari has told the club's hierarchy that he will remain true to his ideas. For example, he will continue to give limited minutes to Isco, Marcelo, Marco Asensio and Gareth Bale, while giving chances to Vinicius Jr., Sergio Reguilon and Lucas Vazquez.
