The Madrid coach spoke to the press ahead of Saturday's game against Rayo

"The fans express themselves and that's valid and respectable. But we always look for support. We need it and we want it." These were the words of Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari after Isco was whistled on Wednesday during the Champions League loss to CSKA Moscow.

The Madrid boss didn't want to go into details about Isco's response to the supporters and tried to play down the incident: "I have the impression that he was protesting a corner of a foul... I don't know. I understand your [the press] job. The focus you put on the anecodtes, but our focus is on other things, in concrete, the game against Rayo [Vallecano]."

KEYLOR NAVAS

KEYLOR NAVASAgainst CSKA, many players were given minutes who don't usually play, but Keylor Navas was not one of them. Solari was asked why.

"Keylor has all my respect and admiration as a footballer and a person," he said. "He has given Madridismo a lot of joy. The thankless thing is having to pick the teams but it's an unavoidable part of my job.

"It was a useful game to analyse many things, for players that needed a rest to rest and for others to get minutes, for some to come back from injuries... We finished top of the group and it was tough to do that."

FORM

FORMThe Argentine coach also spoke about Madrid's up and down form: "We're still alive in four competition. That's a lot and it requires a lot of attention and energy. Football's a sport of ups and downs. That's the history of football. But I think that in Madrid's history we've had more highs than lows."

BALE INJURY

BALE INJURY Solari was careful when speaking about how long Gareth Bale will or won't be out for after ending the game against CSKA with an injury.

"We will see how he's evolving," he said."We will talk about it with the medical team and with him and later we will weight up what to do."
