Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, with Saturday's derby in mind against Atletico, has left a number of stars out of the squad for Wednesday's game against Leganes.
All three of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos have been left out for the game at Butarque (21.30h).
They're key pieces of Madrid's system and their absence is the best example of how Zidane is taking care of his players with a busy April ahead.
After Leganes, Madrid host Atletico at the Bernabeu and then travel to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Therefore, the Frenchman has decided to give a breather to some of his better players.
Here's the squad:
- Goalkeepers: Navas, Casilla, Yáñez.
- Defenders: Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Nacho, Marcelo, Danilo.
- Midfielders: James, Casemiro, Kovacic, Modric, Asensio, Isco.
