The Madrid captain hailed Pogba as "one of the best players in the world" in a recent interview

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has opened the door for Paul Pogba to join him at the Spanish club in the future.

In an interview with British newspaper the 'Express', the defender wasn't afraid to give his opinion on the transfer which got away from Zinedine Zidane this summer. Despite Madrid's best efforts, Manchester United refused to lower their asking price.

"I think Real Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him," confessed Ramos. "For me, Pogba is one of the great players. He is different and he has shown his value at Juventus and now Manchester United."

“I think he brings balance to a team. He has a great offensive influence and he has this amazing physique.”

Gareth Bale's refusal to be part of a swap deal for Pogba, alongside the high asking price, meant a summer move proved too difficult even for Florentino Perez.
