The Real Madrid captain was not happy with his reception at Wembley

Spain captain Sergio Ramos was not happy with the way he was whistled and booed during his country's 2-1 win over England at Wembley on Saturday.

The reason for the acrimony was his foul on Mohamed Salah during the Champions League final which injured Liverpool's Egyptian king.

Ramos wanted to remind people that his family had suffered death threats in the aftermath.

“I would’ve liked another reception,” said Ramos after the UEFA Nations League game. “Everyone remembers the final but nobody remembers the death threats that my family and my children received.”

“We started a new era with a coach who has a lot of experience and what better way to win at Wembley."
