Sergio Ramos injury may actually help Real Madrid's form

The statistics show that without Ramos, Madrid actually do very well. They have won 20 of their last 23 games when he's not played

When Sergio Ramos went off injured for Spain against Albania, hands went to heads in Madrid. The Real centre-back joins a long injury list including Marcelo and Luka Modric. However, this might actually not be too bad a thing for Madrid. The numbers don't lie. When Sergio Ramos doesn't play, they do well.

Madrid's latest defeat without their captain dates back to more than a year ago. March 10, 2015, against Schalke 04, which Madrid lost 4-3 at home.

Ramos has missed 124 games since joining Madrid and in them they have won 83 times and have only lost on 13 occasions. In fact, they have not lost the last 23 games without the Sevillano. 20 of them were victories and three were draws.

He will be out for at least a month, potentially six weeks. These statistics show Real Madrid perhaps shouldn't be too worried. Particularly since he's given away four penalties this season already.
