Rodrygo: We felt relief and joy at the same time
The Brazilian scored a late winner for Los Blancos against Inter Milan
Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes was 'very happy' at having scored the goal to help his team beat Inter Milan 3-2 in the Champions League.
He has scored five goals in eight European matches.
"I hope to continue like this, with these numbers in the Champions League," said Rodrygo. "Playing in this competition is always special, a special night, I want it to keep going.
"I was ready in any moment, waiting for my chance so that when I was on the pitch I could do that, this goal or an assist to help my team. We felt relief and joy at the same time, we knew it was a very hard game and now we have to carry on."
He also revealed what Zinedine Zidane told him when sending him on.
"He asked us (me and Vinicius) to get into the rhythm of the game. That we would help in attack and we had to keep possession and go in search of the goal. We played against a really tough team, we suffered but we were prepared to win this match."
