Rodrygo: Everything had been set with Barca

Rodrygo Goes has been a Real Madrid player since the 2019-2020 season, but the player himself says that before the call from Real Madrid, he had already agreed to sign for FC Barcelona. He admitted this in an interview with GOAL.

The young Brazilian explained the story: "I had two shirts, one of Barça and one of Madrid, and I had to choose. It was very easy for me, but I had already agreed everything with Barça and it was a surprise."

Rodrygo said he had a "scare" when he found out Real Madrid also wanted him. "Then it was one of the best moments of my life," he said, as he didn't expect Madrid to come after him.

It is worth remembering that at the time, Real Madrid had made a bid for Rodrygo's services, with Florentino Perez appearing and putting a bonus of eight million euros on the table, plus another eight million euros for the agents, and Barça did not want to enter the bidding, losing one of the Brazilian pearls that, a priori, they already had tied up.
