Results of Gareth Bale's ankle injury reveal he will miss the Clasico

The Welsh forward was injured on Tuesday and will be sidelined for a number of weeks

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale will miss the Clasico against Barcelona on Dec. 3.

Bale was injured in the game against Sporting Club in the Champions League on Tuesday, when he had to be substituted with an ankle problem.

The Welsh forward has since undergone tests in Madrid. The results reveal that he will not be ready for Barça.

A Madrid statement read: “Ater tests carried out on our player Gareth Bale at the Saniatas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a traumatic dislocation of the peroneal tendons of his right ankle. His recovery will continue to be assessed.”

Reading into the communication, everything suggests Bale will be sidelined for three to four weeks and it’s not been ruled out that he will have to undergo surgery.

Just when he was hitting top form at Madrid, he has been dealt another injury setback.
