Real Madrid's Marcelo under suspicion in re-opened tax case
The AEAT have re-opnened the case as the amount is more than 120,000 euros
Madird team-mate Ronaldo also had tax charges brought against him in the summer
Spanish tax agency AEAT has filed a complaint against Real Madrid left-back Marcelo, re-opening a case for possible tax fraud totalling 400,000 euros in 2013.
According to the newspaper El Mundo, the case relates to 400,000 euros the Brazil international paid to the tax office two years ago in 2015 in image rights earnings through the corporate tax scheme, which carries a lower levy.
However, AEAT believe the money should have been declared as a personal tax payment and have re-opened the case as it's an amount worth more than 120,00 euros.
The case is now in the hands of prosecutors, who will now decide if Marcelo was supposed to pay more taxes.
