They are worried about how he will adapt and the constant controversy around him

Real Madrid have ruled out a move for Neymar, according to Diario AS. The Brazilian has been rejected by the socios and the board, who would prefer to focus their efforts on his teammate, Kylian Mbappe.

The decision, according to the Madrid newspaper, is firm. Despite considering him one of the world's best players and a player fitting of Florentino Perez's galactico status, the club are worried about how he would adapt and his private life.

His continued controversy off the pitch -- the latest of which has seen him accused of rape -- have changed Madrid's opinion on him and they feel it would be a high-risk signing which they don't want to make.

Wagner Ribero, one of Neymar's agents, met with Perez in Madrid three weeks ago to touch bases on a possible agreement which, always according to AS, will not come to the fore.

Madrid will not focus on closing deals for Hazard, Jovic and Mendy as they look to rebuild for the future, with Mbappe still a signing they would like to make -- although it will be a really difficult, if not impossible, deal to do.
