Real Madrid reveal Cristiano Ronaldo's signed new contract until 2021

The Portuguese star will sign his new deal at the club on Monday at an event with Florentino Perez

Real Madrid have confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his contract with the club until 2021.

A statement released by the club said: "The official event for the renewal of Cristiano Ronaldo's contract will take place tomorrow, Monday 7 November at 1:30pm in the presidential box at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

"The Portuguese forward will extend his contract until 30 June 2021 at the event attended by club president Florentino Pérez and the player himself."

Zinedine Zidane has said: “I’m happy with Cristiano’s renewal. He has to end his career here. Cristiano is unique. His dream is end his career here, I’m happy for him and I hope he can end his career in a Los Blancos shirt like I did.”

The announcement ends speculation of the player's future, with Paris Saint-Germain among the clubs linked with the 31-year-old.

Ronaldo's deal was due to expire in 2018, but he's now extended his stay by another three years. 

He follows Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in renewing his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.
