Real Madrid one of the options for Gianluigi Buffon
The Italian goalkeeper will leave Juventus and has interesting offers
Gianluigi Buffon is leaving Juventus but not retiring. The Italian says he has "stimulating offers" to continue playing and will make his decision in a week.
In Italy the speculation has started, with Tuttosport saying Real Madrid are one of the options. They also say that Paris Saint-Germain have strong interest in the Old Lady's legend.
Buffon did not name any names but did say: "15 days ago I thought I would retire but things have happened that made me think. I have very interesting offers on the pitch as well as off it, I love competing and if I continue it will be to continue with huge challenges. I don't see myself in third or fourth level leagues."
The 40-year-old is still among the top level goalkeepers in the world. Saturday's game against Hellas Verona will be his last as Juve's captain.
