Only Harry Kane's score more Premier League goals than Salah

Even though Zinedine Zidane says he doesn't want any signings this winter, in Italy there are reports that Real Madrid will try and make an 'anti-Coutinho' to compensate for the impace the Brazilian's arrival at FC Barcelona has had.

Sky Sports Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio assured that Real Madrid have decided to move ahead with an operation for one of Coutinho's former teammates.

Mohamed Salah, a wide forward who also plays through the middle, joined Liverpool from Roma last summer.

The Reds paid 42 million euros for the Egyptian international and in his 29 appearances this season he has scored 23 goals and created eight more (17 and six in his 21 Premier League games).

Zidane was very stern on Tuesday when he said he had no interest in signing players in January, starting with Athletic Club goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was basically signed but now will nor arrive until the summer.

However, it's difficult to imagine Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp selling their star of the season (Salah is the Premier League's second top scorer after Harry Kane) when they have just seen Coutinho leave.

In any case, Florentino Perez's ideas may be different to Zidanes, keeping in mind the form of Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale this season.
