Real Madrid have asked to play away from home for three weeks
Los Blancos want three away games at the start of the season as they are doing stadium works
Real Madrid have asked La Liga to let them play their first three matches away from home in the new season, because they are undertaking stadium work at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Their works are set to last for three and a half years in different phases. They want to start by knocking down the corner of the stadium and take the roof off this summer and for that reason they want three away games.
La Liga and the Spanish FA let Atletico Madrid do similar for the opening of their Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
Work started as soon as last season finished, with the final game there between Spain and Sweden on June 10.
