Real Madrid defender Varane: "I never speak about my future"
"I don't want to, it's not something I usually do in public"
Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane didn't want to speak about his future in an interview with Le Paisien from France's base this week.
After L'Equipe announced that Varane was thinking about leaving Madrid this summer, there has been speculation about where he could move.
"I never speak about my future," he said. "I don't want to, it's not something I usually do in public."
On the return of Zinedine Zidane, he added: "I appreciate him as a person, as a coach, because he's been really important for me.
"I try to stay calm and to motivate my teammates, something I have learned from Zidane, because I've seen how he is, transmitting enormous respect in a dressing room like Madrid's without shouting."
Finally, on young sensation Kylian Mbappe, Varane said "he has something special. I've known some extra-terrestrials in my career, but it's the first time I've see one with talent so young. I am impressed by his intelligence, his maturity and his huge talent."
