Real Madrid confirm Julen Lopetegui to be presented on Thursday
The former Spain coach left Russia on Wednesday after being sacked
Real Madrid have confirmed via a brief statement that Julen Lopetegui will be presented as their manager on Thursday, June 14.
The now former Spain coach will be unveiled at 19.00h in an an event at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he will appear alongside president Florentino Perez.
The press conference comes just one day after Lopetegui was sacked as Spain coach due to the fact he had carried out talks with Madrid behind the RFEF's back.
On Wednesday, he left Krasnodar, where Spain are based ahead of Friday's opener against Portugal, and flew to Madrid.
The presentation will provide the first chance for Lopetegui to give his version events after being sacked as Spain coach.
