Madrid may look to sign a No.9 this summer with Karim Benzema 36 at the end of the year

Real Madrid are looking to strengthen their frontline and could make a major move in the upcoming transfer window. Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is eyeing Harry Kane as his main attacking reinforcement. The Tottenham striker would be the option if the Madrid club decide to make a big investment in the market, instead of looking for a less reputable and less experienced name.

According to reports in the Diario AS, Kane is seen by Ancelotti as the ideal no.9 to complement Benzema in the Madrid squad. The coach likes the Englishman's style of movement, the 29-year-old's ability to deliver immediate performances, as well as his experience.

The transfer could happen given Kane's interest in leaving Tottenham. According to the English press, the striker is dissatisfied with the team's performance this season: With the last round of the Premier League remaining, Spurs are in eighth place in the league table and are in danger of not even qualifying for the Conference League, the third European tournament after the Champions League and Europa League.

According to our colleagues at Cadena SER, the deal could include Hazard to make the transfer cheaper. The Belgian striker is suffering from physical problems and Ancelotti has not used him this season and he is not in the Italian's plans for next season, either.

It should be remembered that two years ago, Kane aroused the interest of Manchester City, but Tottenham played hardball in the negotiations, even rejecting an offer of £125 million. So Real Madrid would not have it easy.
