Erling Haaland has an offer on the table from Real Madrid to join the club... in 2023, according to the newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten, which is usually well informed on all issues Borussia Dortmund.

Madrid have reportedly asked Haaland to spend one more year in the Bundesliga with Dortmund before making the move to the Santiago Bernabeu in just over 12 months' time.

Karim Benzema's contract expires in 2023 and the club will be looking for a new No.9 to take over from the Frenchman, who has been the team's star player since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The same report adds that Haaland would prioritise a move to Madrid but that he would prefer for any deal to take place this summer.

Haaland, 21, needs to make a decision on his future soon with Dortmund keen to know if they have to plan for life without him beyond this season.

As well as Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City all want the striker, who will be the centre of one of the biggest transfer battles of the summer.
