Partido de cuartos de final de Copa del Rey disputado en el estadio Santiago Bernabéu ante 64.012 espectadores.

Alexander Isak starred with two goals as La Real won 4-3 to book their place in the semifinals along with Granada, Mirandes and the winner of Barcelona's game against Athletic Club.

On-loan Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard gave the visitors a first-half lead but Zinedine Zidane's side could have been level by the break. They wasted a number of chances, with Sergio Ramos coming closest when he hit the bar.

As the game opened up, La Real were dangerous on the break. Isak had already missed two good chances in the first half when he converted following a fine pass from Odegaard. However, VAR ruled it out for offside.

VAR could do nothing minutes later, though, when Isak hooked an outstanding finish into the top scorer to double his side's lead. That was in the 54th minute and in the 56th minute he silences the Bernabeu even more as he scored his second, La Real's third.

Marcelo pulled one back for Madrid in the 59th minute as the game exploded but La Real quickly restored their three-goal advantage. Isak was the provider this time, setting up Mikel Merino.

Madrid finished with a flurry but it wasn't enough. Rodrygo Goes pulled one back after Vinicius had seen a header ruled out by VAR for offside and Nacho made it 4-3 in the 93rd minute.

Andoni Gorosabel was then sent off for the Basque side but the damage was done and Madrid's 21-game unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end as they exited the cup in the quarterfinals.
