Vinicius scored a fine goal as well as strikes for Militao and Asensio, earning the win after Joselu's opener

Real Madrid cut Barcelona's lead to six points with a comeback win against Espanyol which, in the end, was comfortable.

Joselu hit his 12th goal of the season to put the visitors in front but Madrid swept back to triumph.

Vinicius Junior pulled them level with a fine individual goal, and Eder Militao nodded Madrid ahead before the interval from a cheeky Tchouameni cross.

Late on Marco Asensio netted the third after good work by Nacho.

"It was important to win today. We came from a few games where the results weren't what we wanted. This victory gives us the confidence to face a very important and very difficult week. We're looking forward to the upcoming games," said Nacho.

"It was a great move, it's true that I'm not used to making those forays forward, but it came off well and I'm very happy. It was a good win."
