Real Madrid 2-1 Cadiz: Los Blancos just about keep on Barca's tail
Carlo Ancelotti's team were able to stay two points off the top
Real Madrid scraped a narrow win over Cadiz with Toni Kroos the architect, keeping them two points behind FC Barcelona.
Los Blancos took the lead against Cadiz, 19th, through Eder Militao’s header just before half-time.
Madrid were annoyed because a Fali swing at Rodrygo went unpunished, resulting in a scrap between players from both teams.
In the second half Kroos blasted home a volley to put Madrid two goals to the good.
Luka Modric somehow missed a fine chance to net the third, shooting wide inexplicably.
They conceded when Thibaut Courtois fumbled and Lucas Perez slammed home the rebound and Pacha Espino headed over when he could have scored the equaliser.
