Incidencias

Partido correspondiente a la jornada 11 de LaLiga Santander, disputado en el Alfredo di Stefano sin público por la Covid 19.

Lucas Perez scored it to put Alaves ahead early on and the visitors went on to win, but it could have been by more than the one goal it ended up.

Or, they might not have won, with Isco’s late effort bouncing clear off the crossbar. Both teams had plenty of chances.

Perez should have doubled the lead in the first half but tried to chip Thibaut Courtois, who batted his effort away.

Madrid wanted penalties when Hazard and Marcelo went down in the box, but got neither. It was a bad day for those two. The former, who went off injured after 28 minutes. The latter, because he plays when Madrid lose, and it was the case again.

Alaves doubled their lead when Courtois gave a bizarre pass straight to Joselu, who finished from outside the box into the empty net.

Madrid tried to battle back and after Casemiro’s goal they nearly managed it, but for some good stops by Pacheco and that late effort from Isco which stayed out.

The result leaves Madrid fourth with 17 points from 10 games, six behind league leaders Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid.
