The Spanish president is a fan of the Brazilian forward

He would prefer Los Blancos not to sign the PSG man

The president of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, is a big fan of sport and a well-known Real Madrid fan, but he would not like to see Neymar end up at the Bernabeu.

Neymar left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer but has been strongly linked with a move to Madrid ever since.

Florentino Perez told him at the end of last year he would have a better chance of winning the Ballon d'Or in the Spanish capital and Marcelo said this week that he thinks his Brazilian teammate will play for the club one day.

But Rajoy doesn't like the idea, telling Diario AS that he doesn't want the forward at Los Blancos.

"I wouldn't like to see Neymar in the white shirt," Rajoy said. "I don't know about [Kylian Mbappe] but Bale, Benzema and Cristiano were great, and within a few months, people are doubting them. We should have a bit more perspective. I believe in them."

Neymar faced Madrid on Wednesday night when his PSG side take on Zinedine Zidane's men in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie.
