Pepe: Of course I would like Cristiano Ronaldo to come to Besiktas
The defender left Madrid and Ronaldo for Turkey in the summer
The two are still friends and teammates at international level
Pepe no longer shares a dressing room with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid but the two still play for Portugal. And the defender would like a reunion at club level, too.
After leaving Madrid in the summer, Pepe signed for Besiktas. And speaking to CNN, he said Ronaldo's the one player he'd bring to Turkey if he could.
"If I could choose and if it were possible, of course I would like for Cristiano [Ronaldo] to come here," he said. "He's a person for whom I have maximum respect."
"Off the pitch, Cristiano is an extremely normal person People talk without knowing the real Cristiano. He's a normal person with normal habits like us... He's demonstrated that he's a good father and he also has a lot of time for his sons.
"He stresses the importance of being a father which I think is important. He's done this perfectly and naturally."
Finally, Pepe said that in his opinion Ronaldo's the best in the world "because he's more complete than [Barcelona's Lionel] Messi."
