They would offer him the same wage as Messi gets at Barcelona

"It was nice being at [Real] Madrid." Cristiano Ronaldo's comments after winning the Champions League in Kiev put Europe's biggest clubs on alert and are still have consequences.

While Manchester United are thinking about him (Ronaldo's never hidden that he would like to return to Old Trafford since he arrived in Spain), Paris Saint-Germain have been the first to make a move and, according to Diario AS, have been in touch with his agent and Madrid.

PSG's owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi is dreaming of a trident formed by Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Ronaldo. He would offer the Portuguese forward a salary in line with Lionel Messi's most recent renewal: 45 million euros a season.

The operation will not be easy. Madrid chief Florentino Perez is open to reducing the clause (1000 million euros) and letting Ronaldo go, but in exchange he would want Neymar, a swap deal already floated by Gazzetta dello Sport this week.

In addition, a signing of this stature could further complicate the French club's relationship with UEFA's Financial Fair Play Rules. In any case, Al Khelaifi will not give up easily on his determination to sign Cristiano.
