Al-Khelaïfi has tried to sign the Portugal star on several occasions

Paris Saint-Germain's interest in Cristiano Ronaldo is an old objective of their presdient, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. The Qatari is a personal friend of the player, who he tempts every summer without success. That doesn't stop him trying, though.

Ronaldo wants a wage hike but Madrid chief Florentino Perez has called his bluff, suggesting he can leave if he can get a better offer elsewhere. Only two clubs could afford that: Manchester United and PSG. The English club will not go all out for him this summer, while the French club have to keep an eye on complying with UEFA's Fair Play Rules.

However, even if PSG made a hufe offer, Perez would point to the €1000 million euros release clause in the Portugal forward's contract, unless they offer Neymar in exchange. An opetition is unlikely, but Ronaldo's exit from Madrid is something which could be forced through by the player.

Al-Khelaïfi doesn't want Neymar to leave. He's built a project around him and has no plan of selling him to Madrid, despite the Brazilian's doubts about staying in France, an uncompetitive league. A deal for Ronaldo would be complicated, especially with new Los Blancos coach Julen Lopetegui wanting to build his team around Ronaldo, as Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane did before him.

The good relationship between the two clubs could open the door to an operation, though. Neither club is prepared to change their mind but the opinion of the players counts and if Ronaldo wants to leave Madrid and Neymar PSG then a deal is not impossible, even if it remains improbable.
