Official: Isco renews with Real Madrid until 2022
The midfielder will speak in a press conference on Friday
New deals for Zidane, Nacho and Benzema are set to follow
Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon has followed in the steps of Marcelo by agreeing a new contract with the European champions until 2022, bringing an end to the doubts over his future.
Marcelo's new deal was announced on Wednesday and Madrid have followed that up with the news that Isco has finally committed himself to the club.
The Spain international was out of contract at the end of the season and had even been linked with a move to Barcelona, but he will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"Real Madrid C. F. and Isco have agreed to extend the player's contract, which will see him remain at the club until the 30th June 2022," Los Blancos said in a statement.
"Tomorrow, Friday, at 2pm, Isco will appear before the media in the press room of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium."
Talks have been ongoing since the end of last season and Isco's recent good form had forced Madrid to hurry through the deal and remove the doubts over his future.
Isco joined Madrid from Malaga in 2013 and his current deal was due to expire in 2018.
