Not Messi, not Cristiano, now Lopetegui thinks another player is the best

Julen Lopetegui has had a drastic transformation since he took over at Real Madrid. The coach has changed his mind on who is the best player in the world.

When he was coach of the Spanish national team, he said the best player in the world was Lionel Messi.

However after taking over at Real Madrid, Lopetegui said the best in the world was Cristiano Ronaldo.

But now the Portuguese forward is at Juventus, and with The Best drawing near, Lopetegui has changed is mind again. 

"I don't believe much in individual prizes because football I feel is a collective sport. I would like if it was our player, Luka Modric, who won, he has had a fanastic year," said Lopetegui.
