Neymar 'blocking' Kylian Mbappe's exit from PSG
The French striker is not signing a new deal and could leave in a year
The ‘Mbappe case’ has become a game of chess. What PSG want is to renew the French striker’s deal at any cost. They are giving him a huge contract, promising to end the Champions League drought and have already tied down Neymar in Paris until 2025.
President Nasser Al-Khelaifi is convinced that Mbappe will stay and even told L’Equipe recently ‘we’ll never sell him and he’ll never leave for free’.
AS say that they promised Neymar that Mbappe would stay by his side in Paris to get him to sign his deal. Without Mbappe, Neymar would not be as happy.
Both Neymar and Al-Khelaifi know that with Mbappe they are much more likely to pick up the Champions League.
Mbappe’s contract expires in a year’s time and he can walk away for free next summer, despite what Al-Khelaifi says.
