Nacho: We had important absences but that's no excuse

Real Madrid's draw at Villarreal left bittersweet feelings for Nacho Fernandez.
The Madrid defender said: "We wanted to win, we came here for three points. We had a very solid first half in which Villarreal had no clear chances. The second was more open and they gave us more problems, enough for them to draw level.
"We had important absences (Ramos, Casemiro, Benzema, Jovic, Valverde), but that's no excuse. We have a good squad and we showed up. We were close to winning. We leave sad for only getting a point but there's nothing to reproach the players for. The changes at the end helped them cause more damage up front.
"We aren't getting the luck in some moments, it happened to us at Valencia, they took important points off us. We only have to work on it and try not to let it happen again."
