Monchi reveals Sergio Ramos likely to extend his contract with Madrid

Ramos is out of contract in 15 days and has not yet agreed a renewal

Sergio Ramos' future is closer to being resolved. Mainly because in 15 days his contract with Real Madrid expires. The latest reports all point in the same direction: he's ready to accept the one-year renewal offered by Florentino Perez.

In an interview with Sky Sports, the Sevilla sporting director, Monchi, suggested as much when asked about the chances of bringing Ramos back to where he started his career.

"He’s a Real Madrid player. I think he’s in talks with Real Madrid now to extend his contract, that’s all I can say," Monchi said.

In recent days, it had been speculated that Ramos could return to Sevilla, a rumour which loses strength with the comments from their sporting director.

Meanwhile, Moncho ruled out moves for Gian Marco Ferrari and Samu Castillejo: "They are interesting players, like many linked with Sevilla, but there's nothing."
