Modric, Asensio, Bale and Ramos, the epicentre of Real Madrid's crisis

Their poor performance is affecting Real Madrid all over the pitch

Julen Lopetegui paid the price for Real Madrid’s poor form. Stars Modric, Ramos, Bale and Asensio are letting down the team in each of their lines. Lopetegui put his with in them but eventually was fired. The problem is that Santiago Solari is doing the same and they did not respond, as we saw against Valladolid.

The Bernabeu ‘rewarded’ them with whistles. Madrid’s stars are living off their Champions League successes with coaches who are not brave enough to get rid of them.

Modric is a shell of his past self. Slow, without ideas, passive, no energy. He’s disappeared. The Croatian has lost freshness and agility to move the ball and the play collapses on him. He wanted to go to Inter in the summer and maybe Madrid should have let him.

Ramos is a dangerous player for his own team at the back, bringing insecurity and chaos. The captain was heavily whistled by his own fans.

Marco Asensio should be called Marco Absentio. He offers little in the play, he only makes horizontal passes or loses the ball, forgetting his best ability is his directness and his long shots.

Bale is his same disappointing self. He is getting less attention than the others because he’s still being the same as normal. The Bernabeu lost patience with him some time ago and they are whistling even his minor mistakes.
