Mirror: Real Madrid want to sign one of Pep Guardiola's star players

Los Blancos are linked with two forwards for January and one of them plays for Pep's Man City

Real Madrid have began to scour the market for signings for this winter, before they begin their transfer ban.

According to English newspaper The Mirror, Los Blancos have made signing a forward a priority because, in addition to selling shirts, it would allow the ‘BBC’ some oxygen.

The English media have named two players. First of all, Borussia Dortmund’s Aubameyang, who Madrid have previously sounded out but would cost around 80 million euros.

And the second name supposedly on the list is Manchester City star Sergio Aguero. According to the reports in the paper, Florentino Perez is prepared to dip into the market given some poor recent performances.

The return of Alvaro Morata in the summer doesn’t seem to have been sufficient, which is why Madrid want to turn to the man Pep Guardiola placed on a similar level to Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi this week.

The operation would be difficult, though, given that the Catalan coach has made it clear he counts on Aguero, a player who has three-and-a-half years left on his contract.
