Madrid have let in more goals this season than in the whole of last year

This Wednesday Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani are coming to the Santiago Bernabeu. A lethal attacking trio which threatens Real Madrid's Champions League title defence. Los Blancos are having a tricky season, especially in defence. Nine of the 19 teams that have come to the Bernabeu have taken something.

Madrid let in 21 goals in 28 games at the Bernabeu last season, this year it's 22 in 19 games. Teams like Fuenlabrada and Numancia, in the second and third tiers, both scored two goals, as Leganes did to knock Madrid out of the Copa del Rey.

In the Champions League they have let in three goals in three games at home - one against Tottenham and two to Dortmund.

In La Liga Madrid have only managed to keep three clean sheets in 12 matches at home. They have lost 13 points, which leaves them miles behind Barcelona.

Recent results (5-0 win over Sevilla, 7-1 over Depor, 5-2 over Real Sociedad) have given Madrid some hope. They have improved. But their defensive vulnerability is still evident. With a fearsome attacking trident coming to town, Madrid could be in trouble.
