Mauro Icardi, an alternative to Eden Hazard for Real Madrid

Argentine forward Mauro Icardi is among the list of candidates that Real Madrid are looking at in the winter window. The Inter Milan striker is only behind Eden Haard on Florentino Perez's wishlist.
Icardi is an alternative to the Belgian, with Madrid needing to find goals from somewhere, after going four games without netting at all.
The Inter forward has interested Madrid previously, and would guarantee goals unlike Frenchman Karim Benzema. He has give goals this season and has been decisive in recent games.
The deal would be a blow to Milan, who tried to take Luka Modric from Madrid this summer.
Madrid are not trying to sign PSG's Adrien Rabiot, as they have enough players in the middle with Modric, Kroos, Casemiro, Ceballos, Llorente, Lucas Vázquez, Asensio, Valverde and Isco.
