The coach spoke for the first time after Zinedine Zidane quit at Madrid

Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham coach, spoke in Barcelona on Friday to present his new book written with journalist Guillem Balague.

While there he denied that he would sign for Real Madrid to replace Zinedine Zidane.

“It’s normal to be linked with Madrid now and I take it with all normality. I’m committed to Spurs and still have a long contract with them (which) I just signed. I’m happy where I am,” said Pochettino.

“I’m ready to go to lunch, not to take over Real Madrid, I’m excited to go back to London, our project is exciting.

“Madrid has won three UCLs in a row. Four in five years. I wish Zizou all the best. He leaves behind a great team of players. His decision to leave is very brave. We’re talking about one of the best clubs in the history of the sport.”
