Isco was set to start against Valencia on Thursday in LaLiga

Real Madrid midfielder Isco has been forced to withdraw from the squad for Thursday's game against Valencia, which he was set to start, and is set to be out for three weeks with a hamstring injury.

After not playing against Eibar at the weekend as Madrid returned to action following the three month pause due to the coronavirus pandemic, Isco was in line to start against Valencia at the Alfredo Di Stefano (10pm CET)

However, Madrid confirmed on Thursday that, following tests in the morning, he is suffering from a hamstring injury, although they didn't say how long he will be sidelined.

20 days

Isco is likely to be out for 20 days, which means he would return for the final three games of the season and the Champions League tie against Manchester City.

It's a setback for Zidane and Madrid, who are going to need all their squad for the run-in as they chase down Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

Going into Thursday's match against Valencia, they're five points behind the Catalans with a game in hand.
