Madrid duo Courtois & Marcelo doubts for Eibar & Manchester City
The goalkeeper was limping after the Betis loss and will undergo tests
Real Madrid's 2-1 defeat to Real Betis on Sunday could have come at an even bigger loss than they first imagined when the game ended.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois left the Benito Villamarin limping, setting off alarm bells, and Marcelo also picked up a knock in Seville.
Courtois has been one of Madrid's best players this season and the club are worried that the problem, located in his left leg, could rule him out of games against Eibar and Manchester city in the coming 10 days.
The Belgium international will undergo tests this week to determine the extent of the problem.
Marcelo, meanwhile, had to be taken off in the second half against Betis. He was replaced by Ferland Mendy. The Brazilian had a hamstring problem but no more information is yet available.
Madrid's reverse against Real Betis saw them relinquish top spot to Barcelona once again. The Catalans are two points clear with 11 games to go.
