Lyon left-back Ferland Mendy set to finalise move to Real Madrid
The player will undergo a medical in Paris as the terms are tied up
Ferland Mendy will be a Real Madrid player soon, according to Marca and AS, who say the Lyon left-back will arrive for a fee of around 55 million euros.
The defender will undergo a medical in Paris while the two clubs finalise the terms of the transfer.
Juninho Pernambucano, Lyon's new sporting director, has accepted that three players will leave this summer -- Mendy, Ndombele and Fekir -- bringing in money to reshape the squad.
Mendy is a France international who is currently with the Bleus in Clairefontaine. He played 20 minutes in the 2-0 win over Bolivia on Sunday.
Zinedine Zidane has made Mendy one of his priorities this summer as he looks to bring in competition for Marcelo. Barcelona and Juventus were also linked but didn't push as much as Madrid.
