Lucas Vazquez's criticism for Zinezine Zidane and Madrid's BBC

The forward says all players should have to work hard and defend in order to be included in the team

Lucas Vazquez has impressed Real Madrid fans since returning from a loan spell at Espanyol two years ago. However, he still has to make do with a backup role. Perhaps that’s why he’s sent a message to the BBC and Zidane.

In an interview with Cadena COPE’s El Partidazo, Lucas Vazquez, who recently signed a new contract, didn’t bite his tongue and sent a message to the BBC (Bale, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo).

“A team is based on everyone working and the BBC, like the central midfielders, have to help the defence so that we don't concede so many goals,” advised Lucas Vazquez, whose words are seemingly aimed at Zidane, who seems to prefer the BBC when possible.

“It doesn't matter whether or not the BBC is untouchable, it is the manager who decides and we have to train hard," added Lucas Vazquez, resigned to the fact if the BBC are fit they will always play, despite if some of them are out of form.

Asked about his manager and his role as a substitute, he responded: “Zidane gives me confidence in myself. I don't know what will happen in two or three years but I'm happy at Real Madrid right now. Getting pissed off at not playing doesn't help anybody. You have to do your best for the team when you go out there.”

PRAISE FOR MESSI

Meanwhile, he was also asked about Barcelona star Lionel Messi: “What can you say about him… he’s been at a great level for many years. In Sevilla he was brilliant.”
