The goalkeeper made a lot of good saves to send Madrid through

Keylor Navas was one of Real Madrid's heroes in their 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich  which sent them into the Champions League final.

The goalkeeper made some great saves from Robert Lewandowski and James Rodriguez and at the end of the game he was able to breathe easily as he looked forward to the chance to win a third consecutive European Cup.

“We are making history - the team never lets its hands down, keeps fighting until the end,” the Costa Rica goalkeeper said.

“I am very happy as it was a really really difficult game.

“They are a very good team. We are in a final, we suffered a lot and we are very very happy."

Madrid took a 2-1 lead right at the start of the second half when Karim Benzema capitalised on Sven Ulreich's howler but the home side faced a late onslaught from Bayern, especially after Rodriguez had made it 2-2.

"They had no other option, had to attack, put their money on the table. They are a great team, we are not playing just anybody, great players who individually can cause you problems. But the team knew how to suffer, and we are back again where we need to be.”

Madrid will play either Roma or Liverpool in the final in Kiev.

“We will prepare well as we must, with all the motivation, respecting the opponent we get, but very much wanting to win," Navas added.
