Karim Benzema will miss Real Madrid’s clash with Sevilla. The club confirmed it, releasing a statement saying he’s out with fatigue of the quadriceps.
"After the tests today on Karim Benzema by Real Madrid's medical services, they detected muscular fatigue in the quadriceps of his left leg," said Madrid on Saturday.
Carlo Ancelotti loses the Ballon d’Or winner, with Jorge Sampaoli’s Sevilla looking to take advantage at the Santiago Bernabeu later on today.
Fede Valverde could play on the right wing and Rodrygo may operate as a false nine in Benzema’s place.
It’s not Benzema’s first injury this season, with a problem in the other thigh keeping him out for a few weeks in September.
