Jorge Mendes hints that Cristiano Ronaldo will sign for Juventus
The famous agent spoke to Portuguese newspaper 'Record' about the speculation surrounding his client and gave the impression a move to Juventus is on the cards
Arguably the most famous football agent in the world, Jorge Mendes, didn't want to confirm or deny the news circuling the football world that Cristiano Ronaldo would be signing for Juventus. In declarations to Portuguese newspaper 'Record', Mendes left the door open by saying "If that happens it'll be a new chapter and a new challenge in his brilliant career".
The Portuguese striker's agent added: "If Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Real Madrid, he'll be eternally grateful to the club, the president, everyone who works there; the medical staff, every one of the players without any exceptions, the fans and all the Madridistas found across the world."
The player is very close to finalising his move to Juventus and the Italian giants are ready to meet Real Madrid's €100m asking price. The negotiations between the two sides are very advanced and in Madrid they are waiting for the Turin club's representatives to arrive in order to complete the deal. Juventus' intention is to officially present Cristiano as their player on Saturday.
